I'd bet that you're a big fan of NASCAR. After all, why would you be here and reading this article? You may have seen live NASCAR races, you may know a lot of historical events and dates, but if you don't know how to find and buy Nascar Memorabilia, then you don't know what you are missing out.
Not only will you be showing be showing your support for this action-packed sport...you also have the potential to make some nice profit from it! Nascar Memorabilia VS Merchandise
You may be thinking, what exactly is the difference between NASCAR merchandise and memorabilia? At first glance, there's not much to it. However, many die-hard NASCAR fans (like me) place more value in the latter than the former. You see, merchandise is something that you wear and use. Shirts, decorations, mugs, furniture - these are just some of the examples of NASCAR merchandise.
On the other hand, Nascar Memorabilia is dubbed for things that have a lot of value. Examples are limited edition model cars, die cast cars, and the like. Now that you know the reasons why you should start collecting NASCAR memorabilia as a fan and what's the difference between merchandise and memorabilia, let's take a look at some tips for finding and buying NASCAR memorabilia.
Different Methods For Finding And Buying Collector's Items
If you want to shop locally, you should check out specialty sports stores and racing shops. You want to go for those that have a number of collectibles themes. One way to find these shops easily is to use the internet and check out online business directories as well as your local phone book.
You may not know it but there could be a NASCAR memorabilia shop just around the corner.
Aside from finding essential information, the internet could also help you find the best deals for these collector's items. I would recommend starting with a generic topic or phrase like "NASCAR memorabilia" or "NASCAR collector's items" then narrowing it down to something like "Dale Earnhardt Limited Edition Die Cast Car". This allows you to weed out your options and find what you really like.
Attending live NASCAR races is another great way to find memorabilia. True, many of the things for sale at a racetrack are classified as merchandise. However, you may find a prized memorabilia or two. Also, during these races, there are onsite shops and NASCAR dealers who set up temporary stores. Checking these temporary stores out will surely help you find the item your looking for.
Nascar Memorabilia?
Where can i get Nascar items appraised or just a link that buys these items. I have already tried, ebay and Nascar.com. I have Dale Earnhardt Sr. Items and Davey Allison items. Some are little things, others are big framed pictures with signatures.
Thanks for any suggestions!
What is your favorite NASCAR memorabilia?
I guess I'm just tired of all the whining and B******* going on about the race.
So What's your favorite collector item(s) you have of your driver or just from NASCAR period?
Mine....Well I got 2 great things this year. On Valentines my husband gave me a bar mirror of Dale Jr with his car...... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it!
2nd on my anniversary our best friends got us a personalized picture. My best friends favorite driver is Jimmy Johnson, her husband likes Jeff Gordon and her daughter likes Mark Martin, well in this picture all 3 of those cars are lined up on pit road and in the backround theres a huge digital sign that says "NASCAR Welcomes (Our first names) to the Daytona 500" it's awesome! And it was just perfect that all 3 of their drivers were in pit lane together.
So tell me what goodies you all have!
WOW you guys have some great stuff!!!
I think we need to put it to a vote who has the best stuff ... so far NascarGuru is looking pretty good with that signed tire! DavidG do you want to counter claim with a pic of your die cast collection? LOL
I didn't mean to discredit any of your memoribilia, but I think the pictures are awesome! Thanks Atlanta those are great pics!
