Cale Yarborough vs. Bobby and Donnie Allison (1979)

This was the fracas that positioned NASCAR on the mainstream map. In 1979, CBS televised the Daytona 500 in its entirety, the first NASCAR race to have flag-to-flag coverage. While most of the east coast was snowed in, they race received an abnormally high viewership. Fortunately, for NASCAR, a last lap crash between Cale Yarborough and Donnie Allison triggered a well-documented fistfight on the backstretch, absorbing national attention for the first time in the sport's history. Bobby Allison parked his car to check on his brother Donnie and offer him a ride to the garage. Yarborough would take on both Allison brothers, becoming one of the sport's classic moments widely identified as "The Fight"

Kevin Harvick vs. Greg Biffle (2002)

Greg Biffle and Kevin Harvick had a series of run-ins in the early 2000's. At Richmond in 2001, they engaged in a heated confrontation following the race. The rivalry boiled over at Bristol in the Busch Series race in 2002. After Biffle put Harvick in the wall late in the race, Harvick promised that he would confront his rival. Well, he fulfilled his promise, as he jumped across the car before grabbing Biffle's collar. Biffle, however, appeared unfazed by Harvick's fury. The two would be separated before fists began flying.

Jeff Gordon vs. Jeff Burton (2010)

In one of the most unlikely of confrontations, perceived good-guy Jeff Gordon shoved fellow good-guy Jeff Burton following a bizarre crash during a caution period at Texas in 2010. They two struggling drivers were battling hard for a position and neither appreciated the way the other was racing. After Gordon displayed his displeasure to Burton, Burton flat out ran into Gordon, tearing up both vehicles. Burton claimed that he had no intentions of taking out both cars, but Gordon wholeheartedly disagreed. After walking down the backstretch, he shoved Burton, and Burton, who was clearly at fault, solidly defended himself. Following the notorious shoving match, Burton hopped into the same ambulance as Gordon for an awkward ride to the infield care center.

Darrell Waltrip's crew vs. Rusty Wallace's crew (1989)

Darrell Waltrip spent over a decade as NASCAR's most loathed driver, but that all changed in the 1989 All-Star event, when a young and brash Rusty Wallace spun Waltrip en route to the victory. As Wallace headed to victory lane, his crew was brawling with the Waltrip's crew. It was another classic NASCAR tussle.

Michael Waltrip vs. Lake Speed (1995)

Michael Waltrip is known more for his humor than his boxing skills. However, in 1995, the comical driver briefly lost his cool, as he went after Lake Speed, who is nearly a foot shorter in height, following an incident at Michigan in 1995. Waltrip parked his car in front of Speed's, walked over, and proceeded to throw two punches at his fellow competitor.

Tony Stewart's crew vs. Kasey Kahne's crew (2004)

Tony Stewart is no stranger to controversy, or confrontations. However, at Chicagoland Speedway in 2004, his crew had to defend themselves against an angry Evernham Motorsports crew led by Tommy Baldwin. Stewart crash Kasey Kahne following a restart, drawing the ire of the No. 9 boys.

Track is drying really quickly, teams are already putting up pit boxes and squeeging pit stalls, Race track is almost dry, the race today is really hopefull,and theres NO RAIN!

I need advice at where to sit at Michigan Int'l Speedway?
K, I want to get NASCAR Michigan tickets for my Dad, And I am looking at 2 different rows - row 17 in turn 4 or row 31 in turn 4. Is it worth the extra $10.00 each to go up that much higher? I've never been to a NASCAR race before. Is it fun? lol.
