Jeff Gordon is a four-time NASCAR Cup champion, three-time Daytona 500 winner., four-time Brickyard 400 winner and the list goes on. Jeff Gordon has put in the effort with a persitence that paid off and has allowed him to accomplish great things. His fans know that Jeff Gordon strives to be outstanding and they expect nothing less than greatness which he never fails to deliver.

When Jeff was a kid, his stepdad modified an old field into a homade race track so that he could practice racing. His stepfather galvanized Jeff to be outstanding in all that he did which led to his love for racing and he exhibited an uncanny aptitude for the sport.

The kid from California jumped behind the wheel of a quarter midget and his competitive spirit quickly ignited. When Jeff was only 6, he won 35 races and set 5 records.

As Jeff grew older he became preoccupied with sprint automobiles due to their increased substance and force. There was only one small problem, Jeff Gordon was 13 and according to the rules a driver had to be 16 in order to compete in sprint cars. The insurance company finally conceded and Jeff was given consent to race in All Star Florida Speedweeks. Since Jeff exhibited such a formidable talent, his family decided to support him by moving to Indiana so that he could train with the best sprint drivers. Because of his youth and unique driving qualities, Jeff became well-known nationally while driving sprint cars. Jeff won several races at Bloomington Speedway and a title at Eldora and was extremely successful.

It was difficult to find a spot in open-wheel racing, consequently Jeff attended a driving school at Rockingham Speedway, NC. Jeff stated to his parents that he desired to race stock cars forever after driving his initial circuits around the track.

In 1991, Jeff Gordon went to the Busch series racing Ford Thunderbirds for Bill Davis Racing. In his initial year in the Busch series, Jeff was awarded Rookie of the Year. Baby Ruth sponsored the car for the 1992 season, and Davis brought Ray Evernham in at Daytona that year.

1992 marked the first time the Busch cars ran at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Jeff sat on the pole and also won the race, turning many heads in the process. Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Motorsports was very impressed. Jeff Gordon has gone on to become a true champion and a valued member of Rick Hendrick Motorsports.
